Avoiding the sheer darkness of mountain turf I often found myself adding colour for comfort. The later pieces of this series are dark — going directly to the heart of the matter.
The intention to visualize this ancient mountain turf in its original form, presence and texture strengthened my desire to arrive at a sense of the »primordial« and provided the decisive impetus.
